A Wolf's Dream Band

I dreamt that I was a great wolf and in this long lovely wolves body of mine the dew of the grass felt extra cooling and sweet.

Flexing, stretching, I shake droplets from thick fur to suspend like diamonds in the nighttime air all around me.

With my wide yellow eyes I spy the flitting movement of a Luna Moth dancing, the glowing white of a midnight bloom unfolding and on four legs and eighteen toes I rise to join them

I smile my canine smile and feel the wild things embrace me as their own.
